Wordless Wednesday - Old fashioned picture

While having brunch in a resturant with some friends, this old-fashioned picture on the wall caught our eyes. Interesting how they posed for pictures in those long ago days.
Because of the curved glass covering it, I couldn't get a good focus.

What a special picture.! Mom had some like that of her parents. That was a different time and place, that's for sure! There is one of Mom and her three brothers taken in the early 1900's. My brother has that one--it is adorable!

That is a funny pose! I love the old picture though with the fabo frame and the neat bubble glass! I would have noticed it too!

I wonder if they have anything to do with the restaurant..maybe the founders? It's an awesome picture! I love trying to figure out a history from a picture.

This picture reminds of one of my grandmother, hers had the same type frame. People back then took picture taking very serious and I guess that is why they stand so regal!! LOL
Thank you for stopping by and for your encouraging words .
Blessings,
Sue

Hi Ruthie. The curved glass makes the lady look like she leaning over.I bet they would be able to tell a story or two about the restaurant. I have An original glass tile Negative (photo) of my Grandparents taken using the old box camera when the photographer put his head under a black cloth, and handpainted glass negitive.. GGranfather is sitting and Grandmother standing looking very regal..

They still pose a lady seated with the gentleman standing. I have one of me and my husband.

I love the picture. Years ago it seems that people really put a lot of effort into having nice pictures taken. It's probably because professional photographers were not readily available. The frame is lovely.

Great picture! The frame reminds me of pictures that my grandparents used to have.
