Spiritual Sundays - Psalms Picture

This picture caught my eye because of the verse: "He who watches over you will not slumber" Psalm 121:3. We bought it and hung it in our bedroom, above the mirror, where we can see it from our bed as we go to sleep. It is such a comforting verse and I love the serene evening scene .

When I was a child in China, I was afraid of the dark, and used to quote the Angel poem "Four corners to my bed, four angels round my head. One to watch, one to pray, and two to keep all fears away".

Now, as an adult, I have this lovely verse to remind me of God's watch care over us.

Hi Ruthie,
The picture is very serene looking, and to have the scripture to read and comfort is awesome!!! I try to buy pictures with scriptures or inspirational messages on them, so that wherever I am at in my home I can see and remember what is most important in my life. And the prayer is precious.
Blessings,
sue

Love that verse.

I imagine in China, you really did have to say that so rats wouldn't eat your ears off while you slept.

Great post.

They are just a few special pieces. The Church is for my Dad, who was a pastor; the house is the last gift my Mom gave me before she went to be with the Lord, the cabin plays "Eidelweiss", and the lighthouse was my Mom's gift to me. And of course, I added the trees and cows to go with the picture. :)
