Wordless Wednesday - Chapel on the Rock
Near Allens Park, CO is this historic church built on a rock. In 1916, Monsignor Joseph Bosetti and two of his friends saw a falling meteor. In searching for the meteor, they found this huge rock and decided to build a church on it (Matt 16:18). It was finally built in 1935 and is one of Colorado's historic landmarks. Pope John visited it during World Youth Days in 1933.

You can tour the inside - it's really interesting.
Colorado is such a beautiful state. I want to go back there some day and perhaps tour this church also.

That is so pretty! I love the story behind it!
How great. That really is a house built on a rock and it looks like it will stand for a long time. I would love to see it in person.
