This is a picture I made for my mom years ago. She hung it up and said it helped her remember God's help when trials came her way. Now I look at it when I'm stressed and remember also.

Love those. You should also mention that the first one was made by you! Where is the baby picture now?
The baby picture is hanging in our bedroom...next to our dresser. I always liked it, I always thought it looked kinda like me when I was little (with the blond curly hair like I used to have.)
These are beautiful pictures. I can see why you love them. I have some things my mother made and it makes them especially wonderful when you know your mother did that. That's the first time I have ever seen that baby picture. So sweet. Both my daughter and granddaughter had curly ringlets when they were little. They both still have curly hair, but the length weighs it down and makes it less curly. Why do we always want what we don't have? I have flat, almost straight hair and I would love curls. Go figure.
Lovely, Ruthie.
I'm sorry to hear about your knee problems.
A prisoner of hope,
Megan
I see why you love them!
How sweet!
Oh how cool that you made the first picture!
Precious artwork Ruthie. I love them all, the first one you made for your Mother is a constant reminder isn't it? I clicked on it to see if I could tell how you made it, was it water colors by chance? Your Mother's cross stitch is amazing, I'm sure it was difficult to struggle with her vision. Thank you for sharing.
Have a wonderful Friday!
Kathi :)
Kathi, It was sweatshirt paint done on felt-like cloth.
It probably need some sort of matting to spruce it up a bit - but it's not a normal size.
Morning Ruthie! I just love your sweet pieces your showcasing this morning. How special to have the two hand made ones and the sweet little baby picture you've kept all these years. Why Ruthie, I think you're sentimental and romantic! So am I.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Cross-stitching gifts really show a person how much you care about them. After all the time and detail put into a project, it's a wonder that people "give" them away. What makes your pictures most special is that it was handmade with love from your mom. What a treasure!
I really like all three, Ruthie! But if I had to pick one, it would be the last one with the rose! I really like that ---- and even have one similar myself! But the first one has such a great message! Cora
I loved them all, the top one is my favorite.
