View from our campsite - it was really pretty.Playing the uke and singing with our camping friends - note the cane?
I was having pain in my knee - afraid I had cracked the meniscus. Decided I could hurt up in the mountains as well as at home - so stayed.
Most of the time, I stayed in the RV. This is the view I had (it was raining here) looking out the window from our couch.
Our "camping bears" - the big one is Wuzzy and the little one is the baby.
There were only two TV channels that came in- so watched this Home channel (quilting, painting etc.) and worked on Sudoka puzzles. Our friends brought their food over to our RV and we all ate together. They also played games with us in our camper, so I didn't have to climb down the steps.
View out the door across from the couch.
The view going home was pretty, too. Went to Dr. after got home - Xrays were negative, so gave me a steroid injection in my knee and it's feeling better today. So our time up there was different than we planned, but a nice time anyhow.

That looks so cool. I love Colorado. Thanks for the nice comment about my doll. No, I don't make dolls anymore. A lady at our church in California taught a class and that's when I made them. I left there 19 years ago. I don't need to make any more dolls anyway though. I've got more than I know what to do with. Thought someday I might pass them on to grandchildren -- but no grandchildren. Thought about selling some on eBay but don't really know how to do that and doubt if I could sell them for enough to recoup what I put into them. So for now, I'll just go ahead and enjoy them.
Mueller State park is a great place! Beautiful pics! Looks like a great time.
Hi Ruthie, I'm glad you could make the trip, it was a great outing even though you were bothered with your knee. I want to thank you for your kind words of comfort this week they really meant a lot to me. Deb
Looks like a nice, relaxing trip. I hope your knee is better by your next one. :)
Hi Ruthie,
Lovely views though Rv windows.
Hope your knee if feeling a lot better sooner.
Hi Ruthie and thanks for popping in to see my Pink Saturday. Oh, Poor thing - I'm sorry you were having trouble with your knee but glad everyone was so accomdating! The area looks so beautiful and I really think your two little fuzzy wuzzy camping bears are adorable! Be a sweetie this weekend and hope your knee is better.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
what a beautiful place to be...even with a bum knee...
the view was georgeous!!!
I enjoyed your pictures! I have not been to Colorado but would like to someday. My husband took a motorcycle trip there as a teenager with his grandfather, one of his extra special memories.
Great pictures! Sorry you weren't able to be out and about. Sudoku puzzles are great love doing them when I have time. There are some neat sites that have free ones online.
Looks like fun!
What a beautiful view from your camper. Aren't you glad you weren't in a tent!? I think campers are just delightful. Yours looks so comfy and welcoming.
I'm so sorry about your knee. Boy! they can hurt. I had a series of shots about 8 years ago which helped tremendously. They were made from the combs of chickens. 2 a week for 8 weeks. Not pleasant, but they really worked.
I hope your shot gives you lasting relief. These poor old joints just aren't the same as they were 20 years ago!
I'm all caught up on your blogs. Love the travel stories of China. Your three pictures are lovely. Isn't it nice to have some with history as you have in yours?
Saturday night and I still haven't cleaned up the kitchen...so must run.
So nice to be back and catching up on all of you dear people.
Warmly,
Joan
Hi Ruthie,
So glad you were able to enjoy camping even with the pain in your knee. We haven't been able to take our RV out, because I am not supposed to be climbing stairs unnecessarily yet. I know I'd be in and out of the RV a dozen times, so I'll wait..
Sounds like a perfectly wonderful and relaxing trip and I hope you feel better very soon!!
hugs
Thanks for dropping by. You always have the sweetest comments. I also have problems with my knees with arthritis. I tried a cane for a while, but it made my wrist hurt more. Your trip looks great. What a beautiful place. I am glad you enjoyed yourself. That was neat having the tv in your camper. That's my idea of camping. I am not an outside girl so I would have to have a comfortable inside place to sleep. Glad you are doing better. love ya, trish
What a fun trip. I'm sorry to read about your knee. Hopefull those treatments will help. I think you need to upload a music file of you playing the uke! I'd love to hear it! :)
What beautiful pictures... sorry that you couldn't get about like you would have liked!!! But it sure looks cool and relaxing out there!!! 100f here today and forecast for tomorrow?? 101!!
What a beautiful view, it looks like you had a lovely time :). I thought you were going to tell us your bears names were fuzzy and wuzzy :). Thanks for sharing your trip Ruth.
What a life! The best time of my life was traveling the coast of California for three months when my children were young.
Hope your knee gets better.
God Bless
