While waiting to meet my daughter for lunch one day, I happened to glance into a consignment shop and saw this blue oil lamp. Since I love blue and have that color in our home, I went in to purchase it - and also found these two antique candlesticks. Put them on our glass coffee table in the living room and am enjoying my find.

Welcome Ruthie! I love the blue
color of the oil lamp! The photo
of the rainbow is wonderful too,
love it!
Great find, Mom. Love it. See, now it was good that I was late. LOL
What great finds! I love that neat blue oil lamp, it is so cool! You made a nice display there! Thank you for your great ideas on what to name my room! I will gather all the suggestions and try to pick one!
Have a great weekend!
Oh my...the oil light is pretty!! And such a nice arrangement on the table...I like the lace doily too.
Happy Show n Tell. Hope you can stop by and see my book collection today.
Welcome to S&T. I saw from kelli's comments that you were participating thanks to Charlotte. Your finds are beautiful, I love the color of the oil lamp and the doily underneath sets all 3 of those off nicely!
Your blog looks really interesting, (I snooped through some of your entries, I was especially interested in your memories of growing up in China). I see you enjoy camping and so does our family. We lived in southern Colorado (Trinidad) for 3 years and know the state pretty well. One of our favorite (it's impossible to pick just one) camping spots is Mueller State Park. Have a blessed weekend!

Very pretty!
What a beautiful display. Don't you love when you find little treasures?
They are lovely and a wonderful color blue.
Ruthie,
Those blue treasures are lovely. Thank you for sharing them with us. :)
What lovely finds! I don't think I have ever seen an oil lamp like that -- it's a pretty shade of blue.
Your candlesticks are beautiful! Thanks for coming by and seeing my hankys. Now my mom told me never to leave the house without...but it wasn't a hanky!!!
I love that shade of blue in your oil lamp - just beautiful - makes me think of royalty for some reason.
They are just beautiful. I like the colors of your blog too--the blues and purples are peaceful.!
These are so pretty and go together so well. I love blue too.
Re: Brighton stuff. I love peuter too, but no. Brighton stuff is all silver.
I knew I spelled pewter wrong. I wasn't sure about it and when I looked back at your comment, I thought sure, that's how it's spelled. Next time I'll know.
Hugs.
Charlotte
Hi Ruthie, both the oil lamp and the candle sticks are lovely and you found the perfect spot for them. Thank you so much for your comment at my post, it was so uplifting, and gave me a new outlook about the whole thing. I'm going to try the all the things you suggested. I don't feel so bad now. Deb
Hi! you’ve been tagged at my place. :O)
Oh Ruthie! What a wonderful find!! I love them. I like them with the doily best. It makes a great setting for them.
I am also a person who loves blue. I feature it in almost every room in my home except the guest room.
I haven't been posting much and have missed reading others' blogs. I hope to get caught up in the next couple of days. (I have been down with a bad back, but I think it is on the mend) I hate inactivity!
I've been spending my time making cards as it is the least stressful when I'm in this stage.
We are enjoying our first sun for several weeks in Oregon and hope to not see any more rainbows until fall! :)
I did love your rainbow. Aren't they just beautiful??
Take care, dear cyber friend.
Warmly,
Joan
Congratulations. You have a Blogging Buddies award on my blog. Stop over and pick it up!
