I didn't want to write for thankful thursday this morning, because my fx wrist was hurting, and I wasn't feeling very thankful. The weather was dark and it was snowing again - not very Springlike.
But as I sit here, I realize there are some things I'm thankful for!
I'm thankful that it was my left wrist, and not my right one.
I'm thankful it was only a wrist that was fx and not my head! :)
I'm also thankful for:
- a warm house
- having Starbucks coffee and banana bread with my DH
- a phone so I can call and chat with my friends
- a computer so I can "visit" with my blogging friends
- for May Day! We used to celebrate it with May baskets
- and especially I'm thankful for the Lord's care for me and our family

I often have to remind myself to look at the postivie things in life. There is so much to be thankful for! I hope your wrist gets better. I am anxious to read more about your stories!
Just beautiful my friend!!!
You found many things to be thankful for. Banana bread-- yummy! Have a good weekend.
I am SO thrilled to have found your blog! We are of the same generation! I just glanced through the last 5 or 6 of your blogs and discovered the ones about your parents. I am so excited to read them, a little later. I have loved missions since I was a child. So many people were part of the China missionary scene--Ruth Bell Graham, Elizabeth Elliot, John and Betty Stahm, and I know there were many more that just don't come to mind right now.
I'm bookmarking your blog for sure. I am going to enjoy my visits so much.

There are so many times I do not feel thankful but once I start reminding myself of what I do have to be thankful for it is amazing how many things I come up with!
I have a cup of Starbucks and homemade chocolate zucchini (a small piece..as I am still going sugar free over here) bread..yum!
Hi Ruthie, that was a wonderful list. I'm thankful that I read it, it made me think of all the things I'm thankful for. Deb
Hi Ruthie! Thanks for sharing your list! I hope your wrist is better soon. Banana bread sounds terrific...mmm
Ruthie, I am so sorry that your wrist is causing you pain. I hope it gets better soon. We have so much to be grateful for. Thanks for sharing yours. Thank-you very much for the award. You are such a sweetheart. You always brighten my day! Hugs, Terrie
I like this. I can really identify with your comments. I have had a bad right knee for many months. I can still be thankful that the left one is OK. There is so much to be thankful for. God has been so good to me. Like you, I am thankful for all the new blogging friends I've found on the internet.
I Hope you have a great weekend.
Suddenly the day seems less grim when we have something to be thankful for. :)Great list - esp the Starbucks.
