Norwegian Heritage
My grandfather on my Dad's side came over from Norway. I'm proud of my Norwegian heritage and have several things in my home that are Norwegian. These are examples of Norwegian Rosemalling. My DH is of Norwegian and Swedish heritage. So we have Swedish pieces in our home also. I love the Scandinavian art work.
Are any of you readers of Scandinavian descent?

I do not ~ but I LOVE the art! Beautiful!
I'm "English, Irish, Scotch, and Dutch" on both sides. Funny thing is, so is my husband!
Very fun to see your Norwegian and Swedish folk art.
Not that I'm aware of. I know my red (natural) highlights come from our Irish decent. Beautiful pieces. They tell such a deep story.
Greetings from Norway!!!
Do you know where in Norway your grandfather came from?
I am a mutt. But those items are absolutely lovely. It is wonderful to know and celebrate your heritage. The nearest thing I have to heritage is Texas. :0)
As far as I know, I have Scotch Irish and Cherokee, but with my fair complexion who knows...LOL!☺
Scrowlscrowl,
Welcome.
My grandfather came from Oslo, Norway
Hi Ruthie, lovely pieces. I'm glad you and DH both treasure your heritage. Deb
I'm a Heinz 57 - combination of Irish, English, German, Checkoslavakian, and Dutch.
My Gramma also told me that her dad's family was Amish, but yanked over.
Neat artwork that you have - you must have amazing stories for each piece.
Hello! I have something for you at my blog..come by and get it!!
I'm not, but my sweet man is ALL Norwegian!! His family is from Oslo.....not sure if Great, or Great Great Grandpa came over from there - could even be G,G,G !?
