Chinese New Year

Since I was born in China, of missionary parents, we enjoy celebrating Chinese New Year. We went to our daughter's house and tried our hands at making an authentic Chinese meal. It was good, but not as tasty as my Mom used to make. I'll keep trying to find the right taste! It was fun.

How cool that you were born in China. How long did you live there? Were your parents missionaries in other places too?

I hope you plan to share some mission field stories with us.

My church is very involved in missions both career and short-term. Currently four members of my church are in Ethiopia on a short term mission. In July my husband is going on a mission trip to Alaska also. My college room-mate was an MK and she had some fabulous stories about life in Bolivia and Peru. All that to say I love to hear about missions and hope to hear more from you :)

I posted two or three times about Work and Witness (short term missions) on my Actions Speak Loudest blog.

Robin,
I hadn't thought of doing stories about missionaries, but may do that. Thanks for the idea. We were just in China - had to evacuate from there during the war in 1945.
Blessings. Ruthie
