It was a beautiful evening - warm with the crisp scent of Fall in the air. It was the day we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with our family and friends.
The evening started with a tasty beef brisket meal, lovingly prepared by our family. A game of "How well do you know the anniversary couple?" brought out some interesting events from the past. Our daughter, Jan, got the most right answers, but the prizes were awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place winners. A slide show of our lives together, including some humorous pictures, entertained all of us. Tributes were expressed by our daughters, Shari and Jan. We were happily surprised by a taped message from our son in Minnesota. Sharing memories, our guests told how and where they had become aquainted with us. Our grandson, Tim, said he met us when he was 8 lbs.!
Thanks to our wonderful family for making this such a special and memorable anniversary celebration! This is definately a day we will always remember.
