When I was writing the previous post, I was looking for photos of the planes that took us out of China. As I found one, my husband suddenly exclaimed "That plane is called a Gooney Bird! I flew in one when I was in the Air Force ROTC, and the pilot actually let me fly it for a short time."How interesting that my hubby actually flew the same kind of plane that transported me out of China so many years ago!
