Turquoise Lake Camping

This is beautiful Turquoise Lake high up in the Colorado mountains near Leadville. We spent several days up there camping with some friends. The weather was beautiful, perfect for the sailboats that sailed into view.
We enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the wind sweep through the treetops as they gently swayed back and forth. So relaxing and peaceful. The town of Leadville is an old mining town and has many interesting old historic buildings.

The houses are Victorian in style and painted in bright colors. This was taken from our car window as we drove around the town.

Many of the houses had this interesting scalloped work on the front - very pretty and Victorian looking. There were purple houses, pink houses, blue, green, yellow - all so interesting to look at.

But the beauty of God's creation still tops them all !
