Looking through some old boxed things, I found a bottle of jelly beans with this prayer.
Red is for the blood He gave.
Green is for the grass He made.
Yellow is for the sun so bright.
Orange is for the edge of night.
Black is for the sins we made.
White is for the grace He gave.
Purple is for His hour of sorrow.
Pink is for our new tomorrow.
A jar full of Jelly Beans
So colorful and sweet;
is a prayer, is a promise,
is a loved one's treat

You must be home from your last camp out! I am so thrilled for you and your husband to be able to do this together. What a treat to get out into nature and to enjoy the raw beauty found in the out of the way places. Your pictures were splendid, altho it looks like a little excitement came your way.

This is a cute Jelly Bean poem. I love jelly beans. We just bought a giant jar of them at Costco a few days ago. I'm sure I will think of this poem now when I eat them. Thanks for sharing.

I like the jelly bean prayer. I am not so fond of them.....they are a little too sweet for me, but I do use them to decorate my table around Easter.
I have never heard of this before but I love it and will copy it out now. I will never be able to eat Jelly Beans again without thinking of Gods gifts. Thank you so much for sharing it with everyone Ruthie
