Thankful Thursday - Mountain views

I am thankful to live in Colorado where we have such magnificent view of the mountains where ever we drive.
And we're close enough to get up into the mountains often and enjoy the beauty of God's creations. The magnificent evergreens up in the mountains on a cloudy day , and the serene beauty of elk grazing in the meadows on a warm summer day.

What is your favorite view where you live???

I remember those beautiful mountains in Colorado. That view is hard to beat. My favorite view in the Phoenix area is driving down Lincoln Drive which is on the side of Piestewa Peak and looking down at the city especially at night to see all the lights. Another favorite is driving up to Sedona and seeing all the gorgeous red rocks. We certainly live in a beautiful country. Oh, and I can't forget the Grand Canyon in our state.

Charlotte

That is just breath-taking! When I was younger, our family would fly out each winter to Breckenridge and ski. Even as a small child, the mountains were so impressionable to me. Our God is so mighty that he can even move mountains!! Now THAT'S big!

Ruthie, I'm so thrilled you take the time to enjoy your beautiful surrondings. I lived near Denver as a child and I can still remember the mountains.

Hugs,
Chris

Thanks for sharing these pictures.

My favorite view here is the sunset. Also I like the field behind our home when it is full of red flowers in the spring. It is a lovely site to see.

I love seeing the skyline at night here in Atlanta downtown. To me it shows lots of energy where lots of people work. The country is beautiful to me, but I have to admit I was born in a big city and lived many years thereafter in big cities. I think the hustle and bustle is exciting. My husband doesn't like all the traffic and people. I guess that's why the Lord made us all different. Your pictures are so gorgeous!

Those pictures would be hard to beat! Those mountain pictures are gorgeous! I remember visiting in Colorado Springs. It seemed like Pikes' Peak could be seen from any place in town. Not only that, but it seemed like I could reach out and touch it from anywhere. Those mountains were so gigantic!

Thanks for posting the pics!

I love the mountians, but there are none close, I love the beach, and although it isn't far, I cannot see it from my home.
I guess my favorite view is summertime when the pool is filled with kids and grandkids!!!
But I love to see and watch the birds on my bird feeders too!!

Hi Ruthie...beautiful scenery!!

My views where I live are the ocean and waterways...as I drive into town..I have to pass over a bridge...the waterways are so beautiful as the sun glistens and sparkles. The salty breeze.

I just came back from a trip to the Northwest and took a drive into the Northern Cascades..I LOVED IT! I do love that mountain fresh air and pine smell. I'd have to say the mountains would be my dream place to live.

What captivating beauty! It'll be hard to top, but I'm with Charlotte ... the Sonoran desert of Arizona is amazing; and the Grand Canyon marvelous (I've often thought that name didn't do it justice. They ought to call it the "Stupendous Canyon", or "Earth's Grandest Beauty" ...) . So, too, the Olympic Mtn range in WA State. Oh my, there's just so many.

Now I want to visit Colorado.
