After the Election 2008

I found this on several blogs and wanted to post it here for you all to read.

After the election, no matter who you voted for,
these truths still hold true:

1. The Bible still has all the answers.
2. Prayer still works.
3. The Holy Spirit still moves.
4. God still inhabits the praises of His people.
5. There is still God-anointed preaching.
6. There is still singing of praises to God.
7. God still pours out blessings upon His people.
8. There is still room at the Cross.
9. Jesus still loves you.
10. Jesus will still save the lost.

And today I think of my favorite Scripture verse found in Romans 8:28
"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (NAS verse)

Terri at Terrie's Lil'Piece of Serenity has a wonderful post on our election entitled " Come together as a Nation!!" I would encourage you to go there and check it out.

It's so easy to get discouraged. These are good things to remember. We need to keep praying know that God is ultimately in control of everything.
Blessings,

Hi! I'm a first time visitor, and I'm glad I found you today!

Thanks for the reminder; it was something I, and I'm sure several others, needed to hear.

Best,

I've received that email several times in the last several weeks too. Glad you posted it.

I posted a link to join the Presidential Prayer Team on my blog (Actions Speak Loudest).

Isn't that a wonderful reminder for us? I received it as an email and was thrilled with the words of comfort in the words.

I've been out of commission, so am enjoying catching up on your posts. I did like the white dog story. I think your assessment of that dog's presence is probably accurate!

Loved the pics of the Colorado Mountains. They bring a rush of memories back for me--I will never forget the blue skies of Colorado or the wonderful rugged mountains surrounding Colorado Springs, where I lived.

Now that I am back in Oregon, my favorite view is Mount Hood, which we see from miles away. She rises majestically against the sky, and is a beacon of beauty to all.

Our Master planner surely has given us abundant beauty to enjoy!!
