I wanted to wish you all a Happy October. October is one of my favorite months. It's my birthday month and I love the beautiful Fall splendor. Thanksgiving family times are right around the corner, and then the wonderful Christmas season is upon us! How can we not be happy and joyous during this month?
This little poem is a thanksgiving for today.
It was written by Mary Dixon Thayer.
How nice it was of You to be
A little child, dear God.
I love to think my feet are on
The same world that you trod.

Hi Ruthie, I'ts amazing how close the holidays are. First so far away and then BAM! There here. Your picture is lovely I love the golden leaves on the trees. Deb
Good morning, Ruthie!
You're right, there is so much to enjoy about fall.
Have a great weekend.
Ruthie, I love the golden leaves and color. My DH and I are in Arkansas and enjoying the cool breeze that we don't have in Louisiana yet. I love fall, then I love Spring, also. Christmas is mu favorite holiday. Sometimes it is just for the two of us but Who represents makes three of us.
I'll catch up when I get home.
Happy October to you too, Ruthie!

Hello Ruthie
What a beautiful picture of the autumn leaves. It is my favorite time of year. I am enjoying reading your blog ~ being housebound it is fun to see places that you have gone and hear about your journeys.
God bless
OK, now I HAVE to have some pumpkin pie!
Great picture, and lovely sentiment.

Fall is bursting out all over. We went to a fall festival today, too fun! and it seems that the air is just a bit different. Christmas will be here before we know it.
Hi Ruthie, I saw your link on Terrie's blog, I want to introduce myself to you. I am also retired, we live in Fl, but we have a RV that we travel around the country all summer. Those are beautiful photos you have posted. Please stop by when you have time. I want to put you on my blog list too, if you don't mind. I want to keep up on where your travels take you.
Hugs,
Chris
My birthday is October 29th! Hurrah! I always have a fun time on my birthday - it must a carry-over from my childhood days when we didn't have a lot of money, but made birthdays special!
Ruthie, I love the holidays. Your post are always so sweet. AS far as the hedgeballs. You do not cut them open. They will dry and shrivel. The more they do the better they work. They don't look very nice. But, they really work!!
Thanks so much for the scrapbooking info. I will check that site out...just as soon as we get home from our CRUISE...did you notice my cruise count down button? Not long now....woo hoo
love, bj
Hope your birthday is filled with all things good!
I love October too. My birthday was Oct. 5. My daughter was suppose to be born on my birthday but she was 3 weeks late. Hers is Oct. 26. Happy Birthday month to you. Might as well celebrate all month I say.
