Blue Monday

This is my first Blue Monday post and I'm happy because I love blue and have a lot of blue things. :)

This is a little pitcher that was my Mother-in-laws. It looks a little like Bubbles Depression Glassware, but the bumps are different sizes, so I don't think it is that design. I love it, because it is blue, and especially because it reminds me of my MIL and having coffee with her. Memories of a generation past are such a precious thing.

You can check out the the other Blue Monday at Smiling Sally's, which is the host blog.

I'm so glad you've joined our group. This pitcher looks as if it's Fostoria. I'm no expert, though. Thanks for sharing. Happy first Blue Monday

It's a beautiful pitcher Ruthie and I know you cherish those memories. It also reminds me of Fostoria, but mine is clear. I've never seen the pretty blue like this.

Hello Ruthi, That is a lovely pitcher. I have glasses that look like that. Just like Fostoria. I don't think my glasses are Fostoria but I really don't know.
I know the sentiment that goes with a special piece.

Your little hobnail pitcher is just lovely, and what a treasure that you have it now.

What a beautiful post! I love blue too. Isn't it sweet to have an object that reminds you of your MIL. If I haven't told you before, I really like your new banner.

Ruthie, I love the blue pitcher. What a great treasure to have and the color is gorgeous. I don't know about the bubbles, but they make the pitcher.

Happy Blue Monday! That is a very interesting pitcher. It does remind you of bubble glass, but the bubbles usually are more uniform. Whatever it is -it sure is pretty! ~ Robyn

I should look that up in my Fenton book. I'm thinking it could be Fenton. Love it. Happy Blue Monday and Happy Columbus Day.

Greetings from the Eastern part of Finland!
I love just this nuance of blue and your pitcher is really interesting. My son-in-law used to make glassblowing as his hobby and we were looking at it. Now I wonder, how this is made with those bubbles.
This pitcher makes me smile, thank you for sharing!
