This is a cabbage patch doll that a friend gave me, making the Chinese outfit for her.
Another doll that has a Chinese flair to her.
This doll is named Mei Ling and actually speaks Chinese if you push her hand. I am a Montessori school nurse (my retirement job) and I use her when I talk to the kids about China on Chinese New Year.
These are such beautiful dolls. I love going in doll stores. There's one in New Orleans on Jackson Square that is so entertaining. I could look in it for days. Dolls make me so happy.
veryspecial little dolls--What a good idea to use in teaching the children.
Oh my! Those Cabbage Patch dolls bring back memories. Years ago I had two little girls living at my home who wanted Cabbage Patch dolls, and they weren't to be found any where. I worked full time so did not have time to join the lines waiting for one...and one of my student's moms called me and said she was going to get one and did I want her to do that for me. Of course I said yes...and said "Thank you Lord, for caring about cabbage patch dolls for two little girls." That year they brought special joy to our home.
Well, as always, you posted something which brought back lovely memories to me...and reminded me of a situation that strengthened my faith!!
My DH and I are enjoying being retired, spending time with family, and doing some traveling in our RV.
My goal for this blog is to make it fun, uplifting and encouraging.
