Spring campout
I'm back! (Thought you might be wondering what happened to me.) We went on another campout with our Good Sam camping group. This time I had specific instructions from the kids NOT to trip and fall! So I was careful, and did not fracture anything else. :)
It was a cold, rainy, windy, and even snowy weekend to camp. However, we were able to see the Paint Mines in Eastern Colorado. As you drive along the open prairie, you suddenly come upon this indented area with colorful columns of clay. The American Indians collected these colorful clays to make paint. These photos were taken at dusk, with rainclouds threatening, so the colors don't look as vibrant as they really were.
Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!
Looking forward to reading your blogs and catching up with all of you!

No, we have a wonderful RV - a real home-away-from home. So we really aren't roughing it. :)

Do you remember the old Looney Tunes cartoons with the "Painted Desert?" Must be the same place. How gorgeous in real life!
Glad you returned "in one piece!"
