First Campout of year

Our first campout with our Good Sam Group had some interesting events. We were the hosts - and as I was hurrying to help someone park, not looking where I was going, I tripped on uneven ground, and fell onto the blacktop - instinctively holding out my arm to break the fall. I ended up in the ER for Xrays and my arm in a splint - a bad wrist sprain and possible fracture. Here we are in front of our RV.

The next day, I went to Jarrod's!
Not to buy a diamond - but to have my rings cut off because my fingers were so swollen, the circulation was impaired. They were really nice there - even gave us cappacinos and some cookies.

In spite of everything, we had a nice weekend. Weather was warm and hubby had a nice time playing outdoor games (bobo toss, bocci ball etc) with the guys. I spent my time watching the games, visiting with the gals, and reading Megan DeMaria's book, "Searching for Spice". It's a great book and so nice to have when I was sitting in the RV keeping ice on my wrist!

Sunday AM, after potluck brunch, my hubby gave the devotional, as is our custom.
Then we packed up to go home, (although I wasn't very much help, being one-armed).

Now, we are safely at home, where I can sit in my nice easy chair by the window and finish reading Megan,s
book.

I hope your weekend was good,
and you were careful to look where
you were going when you were
rushing around outside! :)

Thanks for the kind words about Searching for Spice.

I'm sorry to hear about your wrist. Heal quickly!

A prisoner of hope,
Megan

Accidents happen so fast. I'm sorry about your wrist and hope it heals quickly. Sounds like you had a good time anyway.

Ruthie, Ouch! Sorry about your wrist, but I love that you won't let it stop your wonderful attitude. I was glad to read about your campout experience, but don't stop the China stories. Your mom and dad have got to meet!!

Hi Ruthie,

Sorry about your fall and your wrist. I hope you heal up soon and that you don't experience too much pain. Glad you had a good book to read - I'm going to check my library for it.

I'm with Robbie - looking forward to hearing about how your parents met and their story :)

Is typing hard for you now with your injury?

Ruthie... I so identify with the camping thing!! I love to go camping, but it has never been something that my husband enjoys. His idea of camping is the Hampton Inn!! I am glad that you didn't break anything else!!!
Yes, yes, please more stories about China!!!

This is why we don't camp - it's simply too dangerous. Hope you heal quickly. Be careful about blogging too much and keep ice on that thing.

hi, all. Don,t worry, I'll still blog - although it takes longer doing it with one hand. :)
I am anxious to tell more about China, also. It's a neat story how my folks met & their courtship!More later. :) to you all.

I'm sure that is not what you had in mind for your first trip to Jarrod's :-). Hope you are feeling better soon, and able to return to telling the China stories. Love, SS
